Changing Places campaign
Development Officer (1-year fixed term with the possibility for extension)
The Changing Places campaign is organised and run by the Changing Places Consortium, of which Mencap is a member. The campaign calls for accessible toilets with an adult-changing bench and a hoist to be included in all public places.
The Changing Places Consortium now wants a dynamic and self-motivated Development Officer with an enthusiasm for accessible environments to join the Changing Places team.
You will develop a network of professional contacts within the accessibility sector, help raise awareness of the campaign throughout the UK, give presentations when required and provide support to the campaigns team and local campaigners.
You will have an interest in issues around social inclusion, excellent communication and administrative skills, and a desire to make rights a reality for people with a learning disability, their families and carers.

Salary: £23,759 pro rata per annum
