M4(3) in practice: observations and interpretations

The fifth NRAC online event is on Thursday 17 November 2022 - the session will be from 9:30am to 12:45pm.

Andrew Lord and Rachael Marshall will discuss the more complex parts of Approved Document M Volume 1 Optional Requirement M4(3): Category 3 - Wheelchair User Dwellings. If you have a technical or interpretation query please send it to Chi ahead of the NRAC online seminar and they will endeavour to answer it during the session.

Andrew Lord is chair of the National Register of Access Consultants advisory group and director of Lord Consultants, a specialist accessibility and inclusive design consultancy.  He has extensive experience in accessible housing design and has sat on various working groups for accessible housing guidance development throughout his career.

Rachael Marshall was involved with revising the Lifetime Homes standards prior to the publication of the 2015 edition of Approved Document M Volume 1 and served on the drafting panel of BS 9266: 2013. She has written articles and given talks about the complexities of designing wheelchair-accessible homes.

The speaker announced previously, Hanna Malik-Trocha will be talking about "Access City Award for City of Warsaw".
