Diana Canghizer - Gender-Inclusive Healthcare Environments
The seventh NRAC online event will be on Thursday 16th May 2024 from 9:30am to 12:45pm.
Our second speaker will be Diana Canghizer. Diana is an Inclusive Design Consultant at Jacobs and has a wealth of experience embedding inclusive design into healthcare environments. In addition, she teaches Human-Centred Design Engineering at Imperial College London. She was awarded the prestigious Young Innovators Award by Innovate UK in 2023, and earlier this year she was a delegate at the 68th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
Diana will introduce her work on gender-inclusive healthcare, specifically designing healthcare environments for gynaecological and hormonal health consultations. She will highlight how a patient-centric methodology can be applied when designing healthcare environments by integrating user research insights into the development process, to ensure people focused, welcoming, usable, relevant and futureproofed environments are created.
