Jacquel Runnalls - "Using Occupational Therapist experience to produce The Inclusive Housing Design Guide"
We are delighted to announce Jacquel Runnalls as our first speaker. Jacquel is a housing occupational therapist (Dip COT, MSc Accessibility and Inclusive Design) specialising in the design and delivery of accessible, adaptable and inclusive housing development from design conception to post occupancy evaluation. This is alongside a career working with a diverse range of people of all ages and abilities in their own homes and communities, providing a unique insight into the barriers created due to poor design and stigmatising aesthetics. Jacquel's session will highlight why continued misunderstandings and lack of critical detail in 2015 Part M Volume 1: Dwellings and her own role led to authoring the Inclusive Housing Design Guide, with an overview of the guide and its practical application.
